The Alcron Restaurant in the Art Deco-style Radisson Blu Alcron Hotel, Prague has held onto its Michelin Star for a second year. After receiving the “gastronomic Oscar” in 2012, the restaurant’s team, led by renowned chef Roman Paulus, pulled out all the stops to fulfil guests’ high expectations of a Michelin-starred establishment. “It gave my team a ‘special charge’,” said Roman. As a result of the award, the restaurant sees a wider variety of clientele, people who travel not for business or to see the city but for quality gastronomy. It has also increased interest in the hotel’s second restaurant, La Rotonde, the cookery courses and weekend brunches, and has put the media spotlight on the hotel itself.
