Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group achieve top green credentials in Sochi
The Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, leading international hotel operator in Russia, CIS & Baltics is proud to announce that five hotels in the Olympic host city of Sochi have achieved the coveted Green Key eco-label. With the inclusion of three eco labelled Radisson Blu hotels and one Park Inn by Radisson hotel, Carlson Rezidor are now providing almost 1500 guests with environmentally friendly accommodation. The addition of a further Park Inn by Radisson, currently in its final development stages will provide more award winning accommodation to travellers visiting Sochi.
The attainment of the Green Key eco-label means each of the five Carlson Rezidor hotels in Sochi have completed criteria looking to make the future a more sustainable one for local communities. The eco label encompasses a number of achievements including a reduction in energy consumption and minimising waste.
Further to their award winning status the location for each Carlson Rezidor Hotel in Sochi has been carefully selected to ensure local amenities and transport are easily accessible for their guests. With Radisson and Park Inn by Radisson hotels situated in the all-new cosmopolitan world-class Rosa Khutor ski resort, two Radisson Blu hotels in Imeretinskaya lowland and Park Inn by Radisson in Central Sochi, Carlson Rezidor offer a location to suit every traveler's needs. Carlson Rezidor has committed to be 100% eco-labelled in their 350 hotels in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The group was the first international hotel chain to partner with Green Key headquartered in Denmark to achieve this goal. The Green Key Programme is managed by the international non-profit, Foundation for Environmental Education. Green Key is the largest global eco-label for tourism accommodations with 2300 eco-labels in 44 countries. It is recognised and supported by the World Tourism Organization and UNEP.

Green Key Hotels comply with 90 mandatory and optional environmental criteria to reduce the consumption of energy, water, chemical products, minimize waste and maximize recycling. Each hotel is audited by a Green Key expert.
