The talented chefs of Hotel Missoni Kuwait scooped seven medals at the HORECA Kuwait 2013 Culinary Art Show competition in March, topping the medal table at Kuwait’s prestigious annual Hospitality and Food Exhibition. Chefs Prateek Endlay and Saikat Das each picked up gold in the live cooking contest and Somkhuan Gampanad’s sushi won silver. The stars from the pastry team won three silvers and Chaminda Lokuge collected a bronze for his artistic carving skills. Marta di Lauro led the Choco Café team to first place in the Barista competition.
HORECA Kuwait, the Hospitality and Food Exhibition, is a comprehensive event covering the hospitality, catering and food industry sectors in Kuwait and the region. The Culinary Art Show, which is part of the exhibition, displays the latest culinary concepts and trends, bringing together talented chefs to compete in the different food categories.
